Further questions about apitholo, apithology and humanity learning ...
What is apitholo?
Apitholo is the Centre for Humanity Learning. Just as there are theories of learning for infants, children, adults, teams, organisations and communities - there is a theory of learning for humanity. While the participants in humanity learning are people, the learner is humanity as an identifiable entity. The location of learning is not in one place or in one time. You cannot see it, from where you are standing. It is also not the aggregate of human experiencing.
Because this field of learning is generative, it deals with forms of knowledge we are not yet familiar with. For this reason, humanity learning uses apithology theory specifically. Apithology is the field which examines the generative dynamics of the causes of health, growth and wellness in living systems. Apitholo is the dedicated place for humanity learning using apithology.
Apitholo consists of an archive, a library, a community of practice, a record of research, a place for reflections and a collation of methods for instruction. It is designed as an open legacy foundation where people benefit by attending in contribution.
This idea of humanity learning is not gained in a brief online course or momentary offering. To practice this requires something different to what you are doing. One constant inquiry for apitholo is into the forms (or even artforms) that hold longevity in a ‘longer now’. Here we are looking beyond the forms of knowing available to our present society.
